Friday January 10 at 4:42 pm in front of my home in the valley.
Surreal is the only word I can muster for the past week. Within the first eighteen months of moving to LA, we had the ‘92 riots, ‘93 earthquake, and the Topanga fire. And there have been so many fires since then.
I am safe.
Thank you to all who have reached out.
This, by far, is the greatest disaster I have been in. So much loss accompanied by heavy sadness.
My family members have lost their home in the Palisades. So many friends too. This weeks book launch at Book Soup is postponed until further notice.
My book is now being launched on January 25th, 11am at Book Passage in the bay area with my publisher, the one and only Brooke Warner. Come if you can. I’d love to hug you.
Tuesday is the official pub date so if you preordered, it should arrive then. Please post and send me photos of you with my book. It makes me so happy you want to be a part of this.
Your love, support, and enthusiasm continues to touch my heart.
Thank you.
