Introducing "The Big Day"
My new memoir
Hello Substack friends,
So much to tell you in this one minute.
Best movie I’ve seen lately, “All That We Love” with Margaret Cho and Kenneth Choi. I laughed. I cried.
Television, as always, has so much good stuff, “Rooster” with ever wonderful Steve Carell,“Marshals”, one of the spin-offs from “Yellowstone” with it’s complex characters, and “Riot Women” if you ever wanted to be in a rock band.
I’m reading Steven Rowley’s “Take Me With You” which just got picked up for a television series by Bill Lawrence who created “Ted Lasso”, “Rooster’ and so many of my favorite shows.
My next memoir, “The Big Day” arrives September 22, 2026 at a bookstore near you. So many of you have asked how you can support me. Thank you. I will let you know in future emails how you can help me should you accept your mission.
My California book tour is coming together, so mark your calendar because I want to see you IRL. RSVP on my website lisacheek.com

Buzz for “The Big Day”
A hilarious, thoughtful and modern look at marriage, partnership, family, and most importantly -- self. I love Lisa Cheek, and after reading The Big Day, you’ll say I do (too). - Steven Rowley, author of New York Times Bestselling of “The Guncle” and “The Celebrants.”

Congrats!
Hooray!! I can’t wait to read it!!
